The Lounge & Cafe

The Whisker Society was created out of the love for cats. The idea of sipping coffee in a library-inspired lounge, surrounded by our feline friends felt like something our community would love as much as us. By hosting adoptable cats from our partner organizations, we can offer a comfortable and peaceful place for the cats to thrive while looking for their next loving family.
Visits to our cat lounge are by booking only, and you can reserve your spot at the link below. The cafe is open during our posted business hours, and you’re welcome to stop in anytime for a beverage or snack, no reservation needed. Our cafe is completely separate from the cat lounge, with its own HVAC system, so you can chat with friends, study or work in comfort, or simply watch the cats at play through the lounge windows.
The cafe’s mission is to support our nonprofit: profits are donated to our 501(c)3 to help offset its costs. We also aim to create a welcoming community space that hosts events, supports local groups, and brings people together.
We are grateful for our community’s support, and we invite you to come inside and meet the cats.

The Cat Who Inspired It All
Title
The Whisker Society was born from the love of many cats. Pounce was one of them. Pounce lived at Watertown Humane Society for 3 years. He was hard to adopt because he had chronic nasal congestion.
The shelter staff & volunteers deemed him the nicest cat. Eventually he was adopted by the Martin Family, who sought specialty care for his treatment. He was deeply loved by his family for 8 years.

The Whisker Society is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization. We partner with local adoption organizations to host adoptable cats in our lounge, giving them a peaceful place to thrive.
